ManU Announces Plans To Play Five Preseason Matches In U.S. This Summer

ManU will play five matches in the U.S. this summer as part of a preseason tour, according to ESPN.com. The club will play matches in L.A., Salt Lake City, Utah; Washington, DC and Santa Clara, Calif. ManU did "not confirm details of dates, opposition or venues" in a statement on its official website, although it is "expected to play some fixtures" as part of the Int'l Champions Cup. ManU Exec Vice-Chair Ed Woodward said, "We have witnessed first-hand the passion and support for the club in the U.S. in recent years, so naturally it is something that everybody is very much looking forward to this summer" (ESPN.com, 3/20).
