Football Notes: Argentine President Mauricio Macri Addresses AFA's Situation

Argentine President Mauricio Macri admitted that he is "not content" with Argentine football's current situation and "warned that after the election of new officials, the State will be looking to make sure they comply with the law." He added that he expects "a super league to be approved" and wants football to be professionalized, clubs to pay taxes and violence to be eradicated (LOS ANDES, 3/19).

The Copa América and Euro will reportedly "once again overlap in '20, just as they did in '16." Brazil will host the Copa América in '19, the U.S. will host it in '20 and the '24 edition will take place in Ecuador (MARCA, 3/18).
