Eurosport Produces 'Time Machine' Video To Showcase Evolution Of Olympic Sprint

A new video produced by Eurosport as part of its "Time Machine" series shows how far the fight for the title of fastest man on Earth has evolved since Jesse Owens won the 100m Gold Medal at the 1936 Berlin Games. The series will run on air and be supported by Eurosport's digital and social media platforms. The video, "Race of Legends," replicates the races run by sprinters Usain Bolt of Jamaica, Carl Lewis of the U.S. and Jesse Owens of the U.S. as they won 100m Gold Medals at London 2012, L.A. 1984 and Berlin 1936. The trio are virtually neck-and-neck at the halfway mark of the event before Bolt pulls away to cross the finish line in an Olympic record time of 9.63 seconds. Eurosport CEO Peter Hutton said, "'Time Machine' will give fans the opportunity to look at performances over the ages and see how Olympics sports have changed" (Eurosport).
