Inter Milan VP Dismisses Speculation, Says Club Will Stay At San Siro

Inter Milan VP Javier Zanetti "dismissed recent speculation" that club owner Suning Group wants to leave the San Siro and build a new stadium, according to Ben Gladwell of ESPN.com. Zanetti: "We definitely want to stay at the San Siro and renovate it. It's clearly the best choice for us. What we do want to build is a new, state of the art academy." Inter already let Milan Mayor Giuseppe Sala know that it wishes to "remain at the San Siro, whether or not AC Milan also opt to stay in the long term." The club is keen to purchase the "Trotto" area of land adjacent to the stadium and build the new academy along with a hotel and a shopping center (ESPN.com, 3/15).
