Atlético Madrid Pays Local Government $32.4M For Wanda Metropolitano Stadium

Madrid City Council and Atlético Madrid reached an agreement for the club to pay the local government €30.4M ($32.4M) plus interest for Wanda Metropolitano Stadium, according to the EFE. The club expects to move into its new home at the start of next season and "also agreed to take on responsibility for the construction of motorway exits" at a cost of €29.9M ($31.2M). Furthermore, Atlético will create over 4,000 car parking spaces around the venue, which will be for public use (EFE, 3/13).
