Media Notes: Tough Mudder Appoints ESPN For Int'l Broadcast Distribution

Tough Mudder appointed ESPN's TV rights division to handle the int'l distribution of its broadcast video rights, "as the competitive event series continues its global growth." ESPN Media Distribution will serve as the int'l distributor for Tough Mudder’s global digital and linear broadcast video rights for the '17 and '18 seasons. The programming includes the 24-hour extreme endurance event "World's Toughest Mudder," as well as the six-part series "Toughest Mudder" and original content (THE DRUM, 3/9).

IMG renewed its inflight and inship media rights deal with the German Football League (DFL) to distribute Bundesliga live coverage and non-live programming to airlines around the world. The three-year deal, which will begin with the '17-18 season, will include coverage of at least 160 live matches per season as well as Bundesliga preview and highlights shows across Sport 24 and Sport 24 Extra (IMG).

Eleven Sports announced it will broadcast the entirety of the Indian Premier League 2017, which begins on April 5, live on elevensports.sg in Singapore (Eleven Sports).
