Guizhou Zhicheng's 52,888-seat stadium "lacked one crucial element" to the opener -- supporters. The Scottish Professional Football League is "mulling over plans to overhaul" the Premiership playoffs. Since its introduction in '14, the system "has been slated for being weighted in favour of the team finishing 11th in the top flight." Now, both divisions are "considering a proposal to level the playing field from next season." Currently, the teams "finishing third or fourth in the Championship face a punishing six-game shift." Under the new plans, the teams finishing third and fourth "would play a one-off game." The winner "would then play a single game against the team in second" (Scotland DAILY RECORD, 3/5).
