La Liga side Celta Vigo President Carlos Mouriño "reiterated on Monday that he will take the club out of Vigo if the municipal corporation does not sell him Balaídos stadium or provide land to build a new one," according to the EFE. He also confirmed that he rejected a €93M ($98.5M) offer for a 66% stake in Celta Vigo. Mouriño: "On Feb. 23, we requested to buy Balaídos stadium from the city council or a license to build a new one. We are awaiting their response. From there, we will take the necessary decisions. ... If they do not want us in Vigo, we will have to leave Vigo. We are hearing a lot about the word legality. But what did Celta ask for that was illegal? Nothing. We never asked for anything illegal. What we asked for is for an agreement that is legally valid, not a promise, agreement or protocol" (EFE, 2/27).
