Finance Notes: PSG-Barça Match Generates €4M For French Gambling Authority

French national gambling operator FDJ announced the Champions League match between Paris St. Germain and Barcelona “generated more than” €4M ($4.2M) in bets. FDJ also announced “despite the difficult to predict final result” (4-0 PSG), 235 gamblers “managed to bet on the exact score.” They shared the pot of €96,100 ($101,830) (L’ÉQUIPE, 2/15).

Motorsport Network confirmed it acquired a shareholding in FORIX, the world's largest motorsport results database. The FORIX motorsport database contains racing and rallying results from almost 500 championships spanning 3.9 million timed sessions alongside the career records of 62,000 drivers and riders and over 1,000 motorsport venues. FORIX will become part of one of the network's specialist businesses, Motorsport Stats (Motorsport Network).
