ManU Freezes Season Ticket Prices For Sixth Consecutive Year

ManU has "frozen season ticket prices for a sixth consecutive year," according to Stuart Mathieson of the MANCHESTER EVENING NEWS. The club also announced reductions for the '17-18 season for "young season ticket holders." ManU has been in discussion with the ManU Supporters' Trust over pricing for young fans to "encourage a new generation" -- and the club has "taken on board their suggestions." ManU reduced the cost of season tickets by a minimum of 50% for U16 matches in East Stand Tier Two, Sir Alex Ferguson Stand Tier Two and the Quadrants Tier Two. Season tickets in the Family Stand and Sir Alex Ferguson Stand Tier Three will remain at £10 ($12.51) per game (MANCHESTER EVENING NEWS, 2/7). In London, Duncan Wright reported the announcement means the "cheapest season ticket for an adult to watch" ManU next season will be £532 ($665.70). The club also revealed it "will axe the booking fees on tickets in a new policy for next season." ManU Group Managing Dir Richard Arnold said, "The price freeze, and in some cases reductions, ensures that our loyal, long-standing fans can continue to support the team with the fantastic backing they give the manager and players at every home game" (THE SUN, 2/7).
