MATT GREST joined the BBC from Sky, where he was director of digital platforms, with "responsibility for web and mobile" across sports, news, Sky.com and Intranet. Grest will be in charge of merging BBC's digital and broadcast products into a fully integrated platform" (BROADBAND TV NEWS, 2/3). ... Liverpool exec BILLY HOGAN -- currently the club's CCO -- will now serve as both CCO and managing director, as club CEO IAN AYRE "will leave at the end of the month." Other changes to the senior structure of the club include MICHAEL EDWARDS' promotion to the "newly-created role of sporting director" (THE DRUM, 2/3). ... League Championship side Norwich City CEO JEZ MOXEY resigned and left the club "after six months in the role." The 53-year-old former Wolverhampton Wanderers CEO replaced DAVID MCNALLY in August, "who resigned when the Canaries were facing Premier League relegation." Moxey "took up the position after overseeing the transition of ownership at Wolves," where he spent 16 years. Club Chair ED BALLS said, "The role has not worked out satisfactorily for Jez, his family or the club" (BBC, 2/2). ... KYLIE WATSON-WHEELER has been appointed Australian Football League side Western Bulldogs' new VP. Watson-Wheeler, entering her second term on the Bulldogs' board, won the nomination of her fellow directors "following the retirement late last year of the long-serving" SUE ALBERTI. Watson-Wheeler's appointment comes "at a time the club has a unique challenge on its hands, to capitalise as best it can" on the Bulldogs' first grand final win since '54 (SYDNEY MORNING HERALD, 2/5). ... ROGER GRIFFITHS, team principal of Andretti's Formula E outfit, has "taken over the role of leading the Formula E Teams" body this month. Griffiths replaced Mahindra Team Principal DILBAGH GILL, and will work alongside JIM WRIGHT, formerly of Venturi and now with Mahindra. Gill and Wright had taken over from FET's season-one chair -- DS Virgin Racing Team Principal ALEX TAI (MOTORSPORT, 2/3).
