NRL Side Manly Sea Eagles Settle Sponsorship Dispute, Sign Lottoland Deal

National Rugby League side Manly Sea Eagles "enjoyed a double financial win" after settling its sponsorship dispute with Coco Joy and "landing a naming rights stadium deal that secures the club's future on the northern beaches," according to Adrian Proszenko of the SYDNEY MORNING HERALD. The club will go into the '17 season in a "much stronger financial position after sealing two sponsorship deals with Lottoland, including the re-branding of iconic Brookvale Oval." Under the terms of the deal, the home ground "will now be known as Lottoland in a deal which nets the club a seven-figure sum." In an additional six-figure cash injection, Lottoland "has also come on board as Manly's top-of-back jersey sponsor." The stadium deal "is for three years, while the jersey sponsorship is for two." In another "significant boost to the bottom line," the Australian Supreme Court dispute with FAL Healthy Beverages, the parent company of major sponsor Coco Joy, "has been settled." While the terms "remain confidential," it is understood the outcome has "resulted in a significant settlement for the club." The stadium rights deal with Lottoland is "expected to be officially signed off by the end of the week." Manly CFO Neil Bare said, "Both parties see this as the beginning of a long-term relationship" (SMH, 2/2).
