Inter Milan Could Reportedly Acquire Satellite Clubs In Portugal, Belgium

Serie A side Inter Milan "could reportedly have satellite clubs in Portugal and Belgium, as Suning Group expands its football operation," according to FOOTBALL ITALIA. The Chinese group bought the club in '16, and has "already invested heavily in the playing squad." Now, Suning reportedly is following the Man City model and will have satellite clubs, "much like" Major League Soccer side NYCFC and A-League side Melbourne City. Suning Group is "looking into acquiring Portuguese side Gil Vicente, and are in fact very close to a takeover." In addition, Belgian club Mouscron "could be bought" by the Chinese investors, with former ManU and Chelsea CEO Peter Kenyon potentially coming on board as a "global consultant" (FOOTBALL ITALIA, 1/26).
