In the wake of the Indian Supreme Court's order, former Board of Control for Cricket in India VP GOKARAJU GANGARAJU has "quit as secretary of Andhra Cricket Association while GVK RANGA RAJU has taken over as the head of the state unit." The Andhra CA exec committee was held on Monday where Raju was "elected president in place of DVSS SOMAYAJULU." ARUN KUMAR will be the new general secretary while V. DURGA PRASAD will be the joint secretary. PV DEVA VARMA is the new VP while K.S. RAMACHANDRA RAO is treasurer (PTI, 1/16).

COACHES/MANAGERS: Spanish second division side Mirandés on Tuesday sacked coach CLAUDIO BARRAGÁN, "one month and a half after he was hired." Mirandés hired Barragán on Dec. 7 as a replacement for CARLOS TERRAZAS (EFE, 1/17). ... Scotland women's football head coach ANNA SIGNEUL will "step down after this summer's Euro 2017 finals to take charge of Finland." Signeul, who has managed the Scots since '05, has led the national side to its "first-ever major competition." The Swede said that she had enjoyed "12 great years" at the helm, adding that Scotland would "always hold a very special place in my heart" (BBC, 1/17). ... League One side Chesterfield has appointed former League Championship side Wigan Athletic boss GARY CALDWELL as its new manager. The 34-year-old replaces DANNY WILSON, who was sacked on Jan. 8, and has signed a "one-year rolling contract" (BBC, 1/17). ... English cricket side Lancashire named former captain GLEN CHAPPLE as its new head coach on a three-year contract. The 42-year-old was appointed acting head coach after predecessor ASHLEY GILES' "move back to Warwickshire" was announced in December (BBC, 1/17).
