With the new position, Aldebert will be responsible for team security in Marseille and while traveling to matches in France and abroad (OM). ... Three years after arriving at the Lawn Tennis Association, MICHAEL DOWNEY has resigned as CEO and will “return to his previous position as head of Tennis Canada once his notice period has expired in July.” There are "understood to be personal reasons behind Downey’s decision," which took the LTA offices in Roehampton "by surprise." Downey has “not been an unalloyed success in the role, but the public perception of British tennis is on the up thanks to an unprecedented period of success on the world tours” (London TELEGRAPH, 1/12).

He took over the men’s team in May '01, and "in recent years he has scored more than thirty titles as coach for the men’s team." The Brazilian Volleyball Confederation (CBV) named former national team player RENAN DAL ZOTTO as Bernardinho's replacement (THE RIO TIMES, 1/12). ... League Two side Notts County appointed former EPL side West Ham player KEVIN NOLAN its new coach after former Tottenham Manager HARRY REDKNAPP "turned down the chance" to manage the club.
