Inaugural Vegas ERace Winner Takes Home $200,000

Faraday Future Dragon Racing sim racer Bono Huis won the inaugural Visa Vegas eRace and with it the biggest prize in esports racing history -- $200,000, plus $25,000 more for pole position. The Formula E drivers and sim racers took to the stage in front of a crowd at The Venetian Hotel at the 50th edition of the Consumer Electronics Show. A gathering of media, exhibitors, industry analysts and FIA President Jean Todt watched as the drivers and sim racers went wheel-to-wheel on the Las Vegas strip. Formula E's continued venture into esports showcases the similarities of motorsport in the real and virtual domains -- competitive and fan-inclusive, but with racing at its core. Formula E returns to the U.S. with the inaugural running of the N.Y.C. ePrix on July 15 and 16 (Formula E).
