EPL Side Everton Signs $93M Deal With Unnamed Shirt, Training Ground Sponsors

EPL side Everton will receive a £75M ($93.2M) commercial boost after "securing bumper new sponsorship deals for the club's shirt and training ground," according to Greg O'Keeffe of the LIVERPOOL ECHO. Club CEO Robert Elstone said the identity of the companies involved "will be announced imminently," as the Blues "also pursue a separate multi-million pound shirt-sleeve sponsor for their kits next season." Elstone said at the club's general meeting that the two already finalized deals "will run over a five-year period." He said, "It is two really positive, clearly high value deals we will be announcing shortly. Part of the £75 million amounts to a major new naming partner for our training ground. We can't announce that right now but it will be announced shortly and it's great news. The other thing is a three-fold increase in the value of our shirt sponsorship and we will release that new partner in due cause." Elstone was "unable to say" whether the new shirt sponsorship deal was with long-term partner Chang, a Thai beer company. Everton has also been "in talks with Kenyan online sports betting firm Sport Pesa over a potential deal" (LIVERPOOL ECHO, 1/5).
