Tottenham Releases Video Of How New £400M Stadium Will Look For EPL, NFL Games

Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur released a video of how its new stadium "will look, including when hosting NFL games," according to SKY SPORTS. The 61,000-seat ground is "currently under construction adjacent to Spurs' White Hart Lane stadium" and is expected to open in '18. The club's new home is estimated to cost around £400M ($492M), and the clip "offers a bird's-eye view" of what Tottenham is hoping to get for its money (SKY SPORTS, 1/4). In London, Andy Warren reported the animated video "consists of an overhead shot, flying into the stadium in the style of a drone, before going on to offer a glimpse of what a Premier League game under the lights will look like at Spurs' new home." The video "also shows big screens in each of the four corners of the stadium." As well as shots of a concert, the clip also "shows pictures of an NFL game being played at the stadium, with a 10-year agreement in place to play at least two regular season matches." In order to accommodate the NFL, the arena "will feature a retractable grass field with an artificial surface underneath, while there could also be expanded locker rooms, capable of hosting American football teams." The latest step "has seen 500 precast terracing units, which some of the 61,000 new seats will be placed on, brought on to the site." A second level is "now being built on the north-east corner of the new stadium, where the terracing will be extended to" (DAILY MAIL, 1/4).
