Nike Signs World No. 1 Golfer Jason Day To Reported $10M Deal

Nike has partnered with world No. 1 golfer Jason Day "in a multi-year sponsorship deal" worth a reported $10M a year, according to Tony Connelly of THE DRUM. Day "broke the news of the long rumored deal on Instagram shortly before Nike released a promotional video of him wearing its apparel." The sportswear company "may have exited the golf equipment business" in Aug. '16, but its presence within the sport "remains strong given its roster of sponsored athletes." Day joins the likes of Rory Mcllroy, Brooks Koepka and Paul Casey (THE DRUM, 1/2). Nike Golf signed Day to a multi-year contract that covers footwear, apparel, headwear and gloves. He will debut his new look this week at the Tournament of Champions in Kapalua, Hawaii (PGA).
