Media Notes: Altice To Sell SFR BeLux To Telenet For €400M

Altice, the parent of French telecom SFR Group, said on Thursday "it has agreed to sell its businesses in Belgium and Luxembourg to Telenet Group" for an "enterprise value" of €400M ($417.3M). The Netherlands-based holding, controlled by Franco-Israeli tycoon Patrick Drahi, is "focusing on its larger operations in France and the United States, where it is considering an initial public offering" of its subsidiary Altice USA. The sale of the businesses in Belgium and Luxembourg will be made on a "cash and debt free basis." The deal is expected to receive approval from the Belgian antitrust authorities "within a few months" (REUTERS, 12/22).

Man City is "offering its fans a unique behind the scenes perspective on the club after acquiring a pair of Snapchat Spectacles." Man City is the first EPL club to use the new device and has begun using it on matchdays "to offer supporters exclusive content from a first-person point-of-view." The glasses will be worn by the club's Snapchat host, who will give fans "an inside look at all the matchday action," including player arrivals and warmups. Man City's Snapchat host was chosen earlier this season when the club partnered with its gaming sponsor, EA Sports, to select a fan to run the club's content on the platform (THE DRUM, 12/22).
