Marketplace Roundup: Barcelona Signs Regional Sponsorship Deal With Chinese Bank

Barcelona and Shanghai Pudong Development Bank Credit Card Centre announced on Thursday an agreement that will see the bank become a regional sponsor of the club in China for this season and the following one. With this new regional agreement, SPDBCCC will become the club's official bank and credit card in China (Barcelona).

Qatar Airways, which has been supporting cricket in the country for a long time, will sponsor the National Cricket League once again, extending its relationship with the Qatar Cricket Association. The QCA and Qatar Airways officials held a meeting recently and inked the sponsorship. The league, also also known as the Qatar Airways Cricket League, features over 60 teams in three divisions (GULF TIMES, 12/21).

Motorsport.com will partner with the Race Of Champions as the event’s int'l digital media partner. The Race of Champions is an annual event that brings the best drivers from various forms of motorsport from around the world together for a weekend of competition (MOTORSPORT, 12/21).

Cycling apparel brand Alé renewed its partnership with the French Cycling Federation (FFC) for the next four years. Alé will remain the FFC’s official supplier through the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. The brand will supply clothing for French cyclists at all national and int’l competitions organized by the FFC. The two have been partners since ’14 (FFC).
