Tokyo 2020 Four-Party Cost Review Talks To Take Place Wednesday

Tokyo 2020 Olympic organizers announced the next round of four-party cost-reviewing talks "will take place on Wednesday as scheduled," with IOC VP John Coates and Exec Dir Christophe Dubi taking part via video conference, according to KYODO. 2020 Games Organizing Committee President Yoshiro Mori, Tokyo Governor Yuriko Koike and Olympic Minister Tamayo Marukawa "will gather for the meeting." A revised 2020 Games budget of between 1.6T yen ($13.6B) and 1.8T yen ($15.2B) is "expected to be tabled for the IOC's approval" (KYODO, 12/20).

ON THE HOUSE: In Jakarta, Iman Rahman Cahyadi reported the Indonesian Weightlifting Federation (PABBSI) has "made good on its promise to give free houses" to Indonesia's two Silver Medalists at the 2016 Rio Olympics, Sri Wahyuni and Eko Yuli Irawan. PABBSI "gave the promised Olympic bonus during its two-day national meeting" in Senayan, South Jakarta. PABBSI also "gave an award to Sri Hartati, a powerlifting athlete who has won five World Championship gold medals" (JAKARTA GLOBE, 12/20).
