Event Notes: Japan Rugby To Host Australia On Home Soil For First Time In '17

Japan will host Australia on Nov. 4, "in a landmark test match," the Japan Rugby Football Union and Australian Rugby Union jointly announced Thursday. The game, at a venue yet to be determined, "will mark the first time the Wallabies and Brave Blossoms play on Japanese soil." The two sides have met four times previously -- in a two-test series in Brisbane and Sydney in '75, at the 1987 Rugby World Cup in Sydney and at RWC 2007 in Lyon, France -- "with the Wallabies yet to taste defeat" (KYODO, 12/15).

WWE will crown the first-ever WWE U.K. Champion live on WWE Network during a special, two-night tournament from Jan. 14-15, beginning at 8pm GMT. Fans can watch the WWE U.K. Championship Tournament by signing up at WWENetwork.com. Tickets for the WWE U.K. Championship Tournament went on sale on Thursday and can be purchased online at livenation.co.uk (WWE).

Aston Harald Sports announced an M32 Series in Australia called the M32 Series Western Australia. The M32 Series is a sailing series of several events sailed in the M32 catamaran. The fleet racing is made up of a mix of racing including short course racing close to shore with the same style of race courses seen on the World Match Racing Tour, Extreme Sailing Series and Americas Cup World Series. M32 Series Western Australia will start out with two events in '17. The first event, in February, will be sailed on Geographe Bay. The second event will be organized on the Swan River at the Mounts Bay Sailing Club in Perth in March (M32 World).
