Financial Notes: Olympique Lyonnais Finalizes Deal With China's IDG Capital

Olympique Lyonnais President Jean-Michel Aulas traveled to China and finalized an agreement with Chinese firm IDG Capital for 20% of OL's shares for €100M ($106M). Of the €100M, IDG Capital will pay €30M ($32M) in the first 15 days followed by the remaining €70M ($74M) before Feb. 28 (L'ÉQUIPE, 12/13).

Hollywood Bowl, the U.K.’s largest operator of tenpin bowling sites, announced "sales rose by almost a quarter in its first full-year results as a listed company, although profits were held back by costs relating to its listing" in early '16. Total sales rose 24% to £106.6M ($135M) in the year to Sept. 30 and operating profits rose 10% to £14.4M ($18M). Like-for-like sales rose 6.8%, although pre-tax profits "almost halved," from £4.8M ($6M) to £2.6M ($3.3M) (FINANCIAL TIMES, 12/13).
