TLA Worldwide Creates Marketing Firm Talisman Sports And Media

Sports marketing agency TLA Worldwide announced "the creation of a new independent sports marketing business, Talisman Sports and Media, which will focus on increasing the commercial opportunities of both existing and new sports rights properties within the TLA group," according to Tony Connelly of THE DRUM. Talisman Sports and Media will be headquartered in the U.K. with offices in London and Switzerland and be led by Simon Thomas and Andrew Guy, both of whom previously held global commercial roles at Fox Sports. Thomas, who will be managing director at the new company, and Guy have experience in "brand building and the packaging and sale of media rights" through their time in the sports marketing industry. Talisman Sports and Media will "start from a strong position" given the scale of TLA Worldwide group, which holds "long-term agency relationships with many prominent" U.S. and int'l athletes, broadcasters and media personalities associated with major sports including the MLB, NFL, NBA and PGA Tour (THE DRUM, 12/6).
