Caribbean Premier League Provides $102M Boost To Host Countries

The Caribbean Premier League continued its upward trajectory in '16 with the world's fastest growing T20 tournament contributing an economic boost of over $102M across the seven host territories. The economic impact to the region has risen in recent years from $44M in '14 to $76M in '15. The CPL commissioned SMG Insight/YouGov for the third successive year to conduct an economic impact assessment of the CPLT20 Tournament which took place from June 29-Aug. 7. Each of the host countries benefited with a financial windfall: Barbados ($16M), Guyana ($15M), Jamaica ($11M), St. Kitts & Nevis ($23M), St. Lucia ($11M), Trinidad & Tobago ($14M) and Lauderhill, Fla. ($13M).
