Marketplace Roundup: Barcelona Signs Four-Year Global Deal With Nestlé Milo

Barcelona and Nestlé Milo announced a sponsorship deal, the first agreement that Nestlé has ever made with a sports club. The club and Nestlé are joining forces to promote the importance of education, nutrition and sport. Nestlé will be an official club sponsor for the next four years. The agreement also includes the Nestlé Nesquik brand in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The sponsorship includes image, association, marketing, publicity, digital, promotion, merchandising and hospitality rights, as well as different activities with FCB Escola (Barcelona).

Wine brand Baron Philippe de Rothschild and the America’s Cup announced Mouton Cadet as the official wine of the 35th America's Cup, the sailing competition taking place in Bermuda in May and June. Mouton Cadet will be the exclusive wine served during the America’s Cup World Series in Fukuoka, in all official America’s Cup outlets and will be on sale in selected shops around the world promoting the America’s Cup (America's Cup).

Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund signed a deal with Japanese financial service provider Aplus. Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but it was confirmed that the firm will become a regional partner of the club in Japan and will issue official Dortmund credit cards (Borussia Dortmund). 

Sports betting company Bwin "has returned to the Bundesliga after securing a media package" at Borussia Dortmund. As part of the deal that will run until the end of the season, Bwin "will receive ad space in camera view" during home games at the Signal Iduna Park (SPONSORs, 11/21).

Gillette has been confirmed as an official sponsor for the British & Irish Lions 2017 tour of New Zealand. Gillette will activate the partnership in all major retailers across the U.K. with consumer competitions offering the chance to join the 2017 Tour in New Zealand, as well as experience the action back at home (British & Lions).
