Bundesliga side Hamburg SV Marketing Dir JOACHIM HILKE "will leave the German football club at the end of the year." Hilke "reportedly asked the board to terminate his contract." The move "is seen as a consequence of the club's continued lack of success and stability" (SPONSORs, 11/20). ... Following information published by Mediapart containing "overwhelming" evidence showing French Rugby Federation (FFR) officials profiting from the resale of tickets, FFR VP BERNARD GODET decided to resign from his duties. Godet is accused of earning €99,709 ($105,575) "for the reselling of tickets to a former internationals friendly" (LE FIGARO, 11/20). ... Argentine first division side Atlético Tucumán coach JUAN MANUEL AZCONZÁBAL resigned, with Saturday's game against Lanús his last with the club. He had been with Atlético Tucumán since Nov. '14 (CLARÍN, 11/18). ... Belgium football club Antwerp has dismissed Sporting Dir JOHN BICO after "just one turbulent month" as the club’s sporting director. A month ago, Antwerp unveiled Bico as its new sporting director and DAVID GEVEART as coach. Geveart was the first to go after a couple of weeks, but "the situation remained controversial as Bico insisted on maintaining his role at WS Brussels." Earlier this week Antwerp decided to "finally part ways" with Bico. The club also fired SADIO DEMBA and JEFFREY RENTMEISTER, who had just arrived a week ago to coach the team (INSIDE WORLD FOOTBALL, 11/18). ... CRAIG REEDIE has been re-elected as World Anti-Doping Agency president for a second three-year term. The 75-year-old Scot, who has been involved in WADA since its foundation in '99, took the role in Jan. '14 (BBC, 11/20). ... Japan FA Dir MASAHIRO SHIMODA, who "played a major role in bringing in current national team coach" VAHID HALILHODZIC, said Friday he will step down at the end of the year. Shimoda, 49, joined the JFA in '09 and has been the technical director since '14, but moved onto his current role after former Gamba Osaka and Nagoya Grampus manager AKIRA NISHINO was named the new technical director in March (KYODO, 11/18).
