Event Notes: Commercial Bank Qatar Masters 2017 Returns For 20th Edition

Organizers of the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters have "confirmed that the 20th edition of the European Tour event will be held from Jan. 26-29 at the Doha Golf Club," featuring some of the world’s top players. The annual event is organized by the Qatar Golf Association, the Qatar Olympic Committee, Doha Golf Club and long-term title sponsor Commercial Bank. Ryder Cup players such as Sergio Garcia, Rafael Cabrera-Bello, Justin Rose and Henrik Stenson have all competed for the $2.5M prize purse in past years (GULF TIMES, 11/17).

The inaugural Asian Youth Championship of Gaelic football will take place on Saturday at the Hà Nội’s Mỹ Đình Stadium. The "first ever stand-alone continental youth Gaelic football competition" has lured around 150 youth players from Việt Nam, China and South Korea (VIETNAM NEWS, 11/16).
