Marketplace Roundup: Bayer Leverkusen Expects To Announce U.S. Partners Soon

Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen "is set to announce U.S. partners in the near future." Leverkusen Managing Dir Michael Schade: "I think that we've been engaged in very positive discussions, and we'll have, in the near future, several new, U.S. partners" (SPONSORs, 11/14).

UniBank renewed its sponsorship with the Ghana FA as a sponsor of the Black Stars for another three years. The new deal, which will expire in '19, is reported to be worth $1.2M. UniBank Exec Dir Owusu Ansah-Awere announced the deal. UniBank's initial three-year deal was signed in '13 (GHANA SOCCER NET, 11/13).

Chinese shipping company Seamaster secured a naming sponsorship deal for two int'l table tennis events: the 2016 ITTF Star Awards and the 2016 ITTF World Tour Grand Finals, both to be held in Doha. The year-ending events will now be called the Seamaster Qatar 2016 ITTF Star Awards, to be held on Dec. 8, and the Seamaster Qatar 2016 ITTF World Tour Grand Finals which will take place from Dec. 8-11. In addition to being the title sponsor at the 2016 ITTF Star Awards, Seamaster is also sponsoring the ITTF Star Point award and the Breakthrough Star (XINHUA, 11/15).

Australian Football League side Collingwood announced a new partnership with sports clothing manufacturer ISC. Fans will notice the ISC logo at the top of the Collingwood jumper. The ISC-made jumpers will also feature the club’s commemorative emblem on the chest in celebration of its 125th season (Collingwood).

Swimming Australia announced Hancock Prospecting and the Georgina Hope Swimmers Foundation have extended their principal partnership with Swimming Australia for a further four years. Hancock Prospecting Chair Gina Rinehart has been involved with swimming since '92. The Georgina Hope Foundation and Hancock Prospecting came on board as major partners of Swimming Australia in late '12 (Swimming Australia).

Energy firm Total and the Badminton World Federation extended their partnership to include another int'l badminton event. Total is now an official sponsor of the Dubai World Superseries Finals -- the badminton season finale tournament -- until the end of '17. Total will provide support in all activities and promotion for the Finals (BWF).

Total also renewed its deal with the MotoGP World Championship as the official fuel supplier to Moto2 and Moto3 through '19 (MotoGP).
