Finance Notes: Bernie Ecclestone Hinting At Buying Brazil's Interlagos Circuit

Formula 1 CEO Bernie Ecclestone has admitted the future of the long-running Brazilian GP at Interlagos remains "absolutely" uncertain due to "financial reasons." With São Paulo Mayor João Doria saying that he "would like to privatise Interlagos," Ecclestone "could buy the historic track." Ecclestone: "It depends on how he wants to sell it. Maybe I'm interested in doing business. If they sell to someone else it could be more difficult to keep the race here" (GRAND PRIX, 11/15).

Brand experience agency Curb Media "has been acquired by CSM's brand and live experience business, Icon." The acquisition "reflects CSM’s belief in the increasing role that technology and innovation plays in sport and entertainment." Curb's products include Meshh hyperlocal media and Rewind, a mobile on-demand instant replay system for fans that does not "require data or the internet" (EVENT, 11/15).
