Marketplace Roundup: Germany's Roth & Lorenz Changes Name To Follow Red

German agency Roth & Lorenz has changed its name to Follow Red. The new name is supposed to reflect the agency's creative aspiration. CEO Ulrich Roth said, "We consequently want to and will strengthen our consulting role. Our new agency name 'follow red' reflects this promise." Follow Red's clients include Coca-Cola, Continental, Mercedes-Benz and Microsoft. The agency employs around 120 people in its Stuttgart and Berlin offices (SPONSORs, 11/14).

London Capital Group announced a four-year global partnership with world No. 3 Swiss tennis player Stan Wawrinka. Wawrinka is a three-time Grand Slam tournament winner. Wawrinka's sponsorship deal takes effect on Monday, and he will "begin promoting the LCG brand at the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals," to be held at London's O2 from Nov. 13-20 (LCG). 

The Almaty 2017 Winter Universiade Organizing Directorate and the Coca-Cola Company "announced their cooperation, in the framework of which, Coca-Cola became a partner and official provider of soft drinks for the Games." As a "Universiade partner" Coca-Cola will "provide all participants and guests of the games with its soft drinks and required cooling facilities." Also, the logo of the 2017 Winter Universiade will be "exclusively printed on the labels of the Coca-Cola Company products all over the country" including Coca-Cola 500ml and BonAqua 500ml (FISU, 11/14).

The Irish Rugby Football Union and the University of Notre Dame agreed to a partnership to promote and develop rugby at Notre Dame and across the U.S. The agreement is the first step in brand-building and commercial development program in the U.S. by the IRFU which appointed Patrick Nally to develop a commercial program. Under the agreement, Notre Dame and the IRFU will share knowledge and expertise and develop joint projects in areas including player development, coaching and conditioning, sports medicine and psychology (IRFU).
