NATHALIE BOY DE LA TOUR has been elected president of the French Professional Football League (LFP). She will also serve as the head of the new LFP Administrative Council. Boy de la Tour has been on the LFP board since '13 (LFP). ... CONCACAF announced ALEJANDRO LESENDE has been appointed chief financial & administration officer. He will lead the division of finance and administration, providing overall financial management in accordance with the regulations of the organization. Lesende joins CONCACAF from The Clorox Company, where he was a strategic adviser for new business development in Latin America. Previously, he worked in several financial and strategic executive roles at Avon Products and Unilever (CONCACAF). ... Rugby Football Union Chair JEFF BLACKETT will become the chair of the Professional Game Board with immediate effect. The appointment is for a term ending July '18. He replaces IAN METCALFE, who stepped down earlier this year having completed his maximum term of three years as director without portfolio followed by six years as PGB chair (England Rugby). ... Field Hockey India President NARINDER BATRA became the first Indian to head the int'l federation of an Olympic sport "after being voted president of the Int'l Hockey Federation (FIH) at the 45th FIH Congress in Dubai." Batra polled 68 of the 118 eligible votes in the three-corner election for a near majority, defeating Ireland’s DAVID BALBIRNIE (29) and Australia's KEN READ (13), both long-time FIH members (THE HINDU, 11/13). ... League Championship side Queens Park Rangers have reappointed IAN HOLLOWAY as manager, 10 years after he left the club. The 53-year-old, previously in charge of the club from '01-06, has agreed a two-and-a-half-year contract at Loftus Road. Holloway, who led Blackpool and Crystal Palace to the Premier League, replaces JIMMY FLOYD HASSELBAINK, "who was sacked on Saturday after 11 months in charge" (BBC, 11/11).
