Media Notes: SBS To Broadcast Wallabies Autumn Internationals Against France, England

Growing on its summer sporting lineup that including the Premier League, A-League and National Basketball League, SBS "has announced that it has secured exclusive free-to-air rights for the upcoming Wallabies marquee matches" from the 2016 Autumn Internationals rugby union series. The first match will kick off on Nov. 20, with Australia going head-to head against France live from Paris. The second match will see Australia take on rivals England, live from Twickenham Stadium, on Dec. 4. Both matches "will be live, free and available in HD on SBS, as well as streamed live online via SBS On Demand" (MEDIAWEEK, 11/11).

Frank Warren and BoxNation "have signed a multi-year deal" with BT Sport that will see the promoter "create 20 premium live boxing events each year to be simulcast on both channels." The deal will see a further 10 events per year, including "top tier pay-per-view events and other high-quality domestic shows, broadcast exclusively on BoxNation." It will mean that BoxNation, the U.K.’s only dedicated boxing channel, "will be included in BT Sport’s pack of channels and made available to all new and existing BT Sport customers as part of their subscription" (London TELEGRAPH, 11/11).

Eleven Sports Network signed a multi-year agreement with Insight Media to bring Chelsea TV to fans in Singapore. Building on Eleven’s recent announcement of LFCTV rights for all its markets, football fans in Singapore will now be able to enjoy up to six hours of Chelsea TV programming every week on TV, online and mobile via the Eleven Sports platform. Delayed matches from the EPL, FA Cup and other competitive matches in which the club participates, plus additional programming as selected by Chelsea FC (Eleven Sports Network).

(VTV) "will broadcast all 18 matches" during the ASEAN Football Federation from Suzuki Cup from Nov. 19 to Dec. 17. Along with the games, VTV "also will air sideline events, such as comments before and after matches, with the participation of well-known coaches, players and football experts (VIETNAM NEWS, 11/10).
