SFR Sport Launching Digital Package On Mobile Platform

Rid of its partial exclusivity contract with Canalsat and “tired of not being able to complete distribution agreements with competing service providers, SFR decided to make its sports package available via its mobile and online platforms,” according to MEDIA SPORTIF. Starting Nov. 15, “it will be possible to purchase a subscription without committing” to SFR’s five sports channels and additional content. The offer looks to raise SFR Sport’s visibility “while waiting for potential distribution agreements” and will cost €10 ($11) per month with no commitment. A year-long subscription is available for €60 ($66) (MEDIA SPORTIF, 11/9).
