Online Bank DKB Reups Title Sponsorship Deal With Handball Bundesliga Until '19

Online bank DKB "will continue to be the naming-rights partner of the German Handball Bundesliga (HBL) after exercising an option to extend the deal," according to Gabriel Wagner of SPONSORs. The extension was announced during the celebrations of the league's 50th anniversary in Berlin on Wednesday. The new deal between DKB and the HBL "will run for two years until the end of the '18-19 season." DKB "has been the league's title sponsor since '12." As part of the deal, the DKB logo "will continue to be featured on the jerseys of all 18 top-tier clubs." The company pays an estimated €1M ($1.1M) annually for the rights (SPONSORs, 11/9).
