Marketplace Roundup: Mercedes-Benz To Sponsor ISPS HANDA World Cup Of Golf

Tournament officials announced Mercedes-Benz as the ISPS HANDA World Cup of Golf's premium partner and official vehicle when the tournament is held at Kingston Heath Golf Club from Nov. 23-27. The partnership will see Mercedes-Benz and its fleet of first-class vehicles dedicated as player and key staff transportation throughout Melbourne in addition to the brand being showcased throughout numerous engagement and interactive programs. Mercedes-Benz will also enjoy an amplified presence both on-course and off with an interactive engagement area in the Tournament Village, a Hole-in-One competition on the 15th and the return of the Mercedes-Benz Hospitality Suite, "MB Green" (PGA Australia).

The Rugby Football Union "has renewed its partnership with Champagne Bollinger, which will continue as the official Champagne of England Rugby for another four years." The deal will run until '20, following on from its current arrangement, but "will be expanded for the first time, with Champagne Bollinger also becoming the exclusive Champagne supplier to Twickenham Stadium for all non-match day events." It will also "benefit from match day activation and branding rights" (DRINKS BUSINESS, 11/4).

Scottish Rugby is partnering with Harris Tweed and unveiled a new official SRU design. The new design was a collaboration between Scottish Rugby, Harris Tweed Hebrides and the retailer Walker Slater. Ken Kennedy, head designer at Harris Tweed Hebrides in Shawbost, Isle of Lewis, has created bespoke tweed working from a brief to incorporate navy, purple and green, the familiar colors of Scottish Rugby (SRU).

Abul Khair Steel, a sister concern group of Abul Khair Industries Ltd., became the title sponsor of the fourth edition of Bangladesh Premier League. The official title of the BPL season will be "AKS BPL Powered by Shah Cement" (BPL).

BPL side Rajshahi Kings signed a deal with e-commerce platform Bagdoom.com for the fourth editon of the BPL (Rajshahi Kings).
