Nine Network Sportscaster Ken Sutcliffe Calling It A Career After 50 Years

Veteran sports presenter Ken Sutcliffe will "call time on his decorated 50-year broadcasting career at the end of the year," according to the AAP. Sutcliffe announced he "was to retire next month after delivering the sports report on Nine News" in Sydney Tuesday night. He said, "I've been thinking about it for some time and believe this is the perfect moment to move on from a job I've loved so much. I have always said you retire while they still want you and that's the case at Nine." Turning 69 this month, Sutcliffe has been a "familiar face in Australian lounge rooms" since joining the Nine Network in '79 (AAP, 11/3).

JOINING UP: LeSports Hong Kong announced former Hong Kong footballer of the year Yau Kin Wai as the newest addition to its Cantonese commentary team. Yau has more than a decade of experience as a football commentator but is best remembered as a defender in the Hong Kong First Division League during the '90s (LeSports).
