Marketplace Roundup: Tanzania FA In Talks For New First League Title Sponsor

The Tanzania Football Federation is in talks with a local company "which is likely to become the main sponsor of the national first division league." National Football League Board Dir Boniface Wambura said that once the deal is struck, the firm "will take over from the current sponsor, Star Times, which decided to pull out." However, he "will not reveal the name of the firm," saying that discussions "were in the final stage" (ALL AFRICA, 11/1).

Qatar Charity announced the signing of a cooperation agreement with the Int'l Center for Sport Security, "under the framework of its Save a Dream initiative, to help strengthen and enhance the role of sport in empowering young people and encouraging social development and cohesion" (GULF TIMES, 10/31).

The new British & Irish Lions kit was revealed on Tuesday as a giant "untouchable" jersey hologram appeared over the London city-scape on the Southbank. Canterbury’s stunt marked the launch of the jersey that will be worn by the British & Irish Lions players in the New Zealand Tour. The campaign is built on the idea that no player will touch the shirt until he has earned a call up to the Lions Squad (British & Irish Lions).

Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) side Brose Baskets Bamberg and auto industry supplier Cebi Motors renewed their partnership for another year. Cebi will become Bamberg's first "European Competition Sponsor." As part of the extension, the Italian company will receive logo presence on the team's jerseys and LED boards (Brose Baskets).

Spanish track athlete Bruno Hortelano announced that he signed with Nike after "belonging to the Playas de Castellón club for the last five years." Hortelano announced his signing with Nike on Twitter (EFE, 10/31).
