U.K.-based sports sponsorship outfit SMG Insight named English Football League Marketing Research Manager NICOLE ALLISON head of media research concessionaire and Sodexo Consumer Insight Manager SARA EDDLESTON head of consumer insight (SMG). National Rugby League side Canberra Raiders announced the resignation of SIMON HAWKINS from its board effective immediately. Hawkins has been on the Raiders board for the past four years (Canberra Raiders). 

COACHES/MANAGERS: Ligue 1 side Lorient assistant coach FRANCK HAISE was named interim manager. Former Manager SYLVAIN RIPOLL was fired last week (Lorient). ... Arabian Gulf League side Al Nasr coach IVAN JOVANOVIC "was sacked and replaced by former Chelsea defender DAN PETRESCU on Saturday night." The club said, "Dan Petrescu has signed a tentative agreement with the club and arrives in the country tomorrow [Sunday] with his assistants to lead the first team" (GULF NEWS, 10/29).
