Media Notes: French Professional Football League, EA Sports Launching E-Ligue 1

In partnership with EA Sports, the French Professional Football League (LFP) is launching the first edition of its e-Ligue 1. The LFP has partnered with Electronic Arts to organize the first FIFA17 esports championship in France. Starting Nov. 7 on www.e-ligue1.com, participants can participate and select their team from Ligue 1 players. The e-Ligue 1 will run throughout the ’16-17 season with a “Winter Tournament" from November-January, a “Spring Tournament” from February-March and “Playoffs” in May (LFP).

The Premier League match between Liverpool and ManU gave French TV channel Numéro 23, which co-broadcast the match with SFR Sport 1, “a record audience.” An average of 640,000 viewers followed the match on Numéro 23, translating to a 2.7% market share. The match saw a peak audience of 816,000 (L’ÉQUIPE, 10/18).

The NBA and Eleven Sports Network announced a multi-year broadcast partnership to bring NBA games and programming to fans in Singapore, beginning with the '16-17 season. As an official broadcast partner of the NBA in Singapore, Eleven Sports Network will show the regular season, NBA All-Star, NBA Playoffs, the entirety of the Conference Finals and The Finals. Eleven will also show repeat primetime telecasts and NBA highlight programs, including NBA Action and daily highlights. The network's coverage will be accessible through its website and mobile app. Fans can subscribe for NBA content via www.elevensports.sg or through the Eleven Sports app. The network's channels are also available in Singapore on Singtel TV, StarHub Go and Toggle (Eleven Sports). 

Infront Sports & Media has extended its partnership with the Ski Association of Slovenia for a further 10 years covering the national and int'l media rights to the respective FIS World Cup events taking place in Slovenia. The agreement covers the Men's FIS Alpine Ski races in Kranjska Gora, the Women's FIS Alpine Ski events in Maribor, the FIS Cross-Country races and the FIS Men's Ski Jumping World Cup Finals in Planica, the Women's Ski Jumping in Ljubno and the Snowboard events in Rogla. It is the fourth occasion the cooperation between Infront and the SAS has been extended (Infront).
