Businessman Gérard Lopez, Lille OSC Enter Negotiations To Purchase Club

Luxembourg-Spanish businessman Gérard Lopez and Ligue 1 side Lille OSC President Michel Seydoux have entered into negotiations for the purchase of the club. For over a year, Lopez and his team have studied French football for a club to buy. Seydoux said, “For several years I haven’t been searching for a buyer, but a successor. It is indispensable that this person has the vision, the capacity and a project that allows LOSC to continue to win titles. Discussions have been engaged for several months.” Lopez said, “Michel Seydoux, in the last few months, has shown great professionalism and exemplary confidentiality, without ever deviating from his goal of doing everything to help the club win more titles” (LOSC).
