Former TV presenter NATHALIE IANNETTA, who became a member of French President FRANÇOIS HOLLANDE’s cabinet as sports councilor in ’14, “is leaving her post.” Iannetta is reportedly “taking up a new position with UEFA” (LE PARISIEN, 10/12). ... JOYCE COOK will take up the role of FIFA chief member associations officer on Nov. 1. This position was created as part of the restructuring of FIFA’s administration and entails the delivery of a key goal in the recently established FIFA vision: investment in football development through FIFA’s 211 member associations under the FIFA Forward Programme. Cook will report directly to FIFA Deputy Secretary General ZVONIMIR BOBAN, and she will be part of the FIFA Management Board (FIFA). ... Former Senator and Federal Minister for Sport and current President of Athletics Australia MARK ARBIB is joining the Australian Olympic Exec Committee. The election follows the retirement of VP PETER MONTGOMERY in September and subsequent election of IAN CHESTERMAN as an AOC VP. Currently, Arbib is the director of business development & corporate affairs for Consolidated Press Holdings Pty Ltd. He is also a board member of the Packer Family Foundation and the South Sydney Football Club (AOC). ... RODNEY MARSH will not be "seeking to stay on in the role" of chair of selectors when his contract expires next year. The 68-year-old former test cricketer has headed up the four-man selection committee since '14 "having previously served on the panel for three years under JOHN INVERARITY." A Cricket Australia spokesperson said, "We can confirm that Rod Marsh has decided not to continue on in his role as national selector once his contract expires in June, 2017" (REUTERS, 10/13). ... Championship rugby side Sheffield Eagles confirmed JOHN WHALING left his role as CEO at the club. During the interim period, MARK ASTON will resume the role as CEO, which he previously undertook until the beginning of '15. Along with Aston, CHRIS NOBLE and IAN ANNISS remain in place as directors of the club and LIAM CLAFFEY will continue with the day-to-day running of the club as GM (Sheffield Eagles). ... World Rugby announced the appointment of ALISTAIR MACLEAN as general counsel. Maclean will start his new role on Jan. 3. Maclean, 41, will be responsible for driving World Rugby's legal strategies. He had been group legal director and company secretary at the FA. In 11 years at the FA, Maclean was responsible for managing all legal aspects of the media rights associated with the England team and other high-profile properties (World Rugby). 

RFL SUPER TEAM: The Rugby Football League announced "three significant appointments." ROGER DRAPER has been appointed to the "newly created role of chief commercial officer and Super League executive director," MARK FOSTER will take on the role of Super League GM and TONY SUTTON will join the organization as director of finance and facilities. Draper, who is currently CEO of Warrington Wolves, was formerly CEO of the Lawn Tennis Association between '06 and '13 and of Sport England between '03 and '06. As part of his new role, Draper "will take a position on the RFL board and will be responsible for all activity undertaken by the commercial, marketing, communications, ticketing and events teams." As part of the new senior structure, Foster will report to Draper and "focus on working with the Super League clubs to manage high profile events" (RUNNING RUGBY, 10/13).
