Marketplace Roundup: DEL Side Eisbären Berlin Introduces New Hospitality Seating

German Hockey League (DEL) side Eisbären Berlin is offering a unique hospitality experience. The team has created a so-called Icebox that offers seating for 10 right behind the glass and located between the two team benches at the Mercedes-Benz Arena. The club said that it is the first such offering in the DEL. The price for an Icebox seat is €249 ($275) per person (Eisbären Berlin).

Hair and skin product specialist Garnier announced it signed three French athletes as brand ambassadors for its products. Paris St. Germain player Laure Boulleau, tennis player Alizé Lim and fencer Ysaora Thibus are all “extremely active on social media” and will promote Garnier products through their accounts and future activations (SPORTS MARKETING, 10/11).

European Athletics unveiled a refreshed brand identity, modernizing both the overall corporate identity and the related competition branding to work in more distinct and appropriate ways for their intended audiences. The design work strengthens the European Athletics icon and Your Sport for Life slogan, and introduces a new official typeface for the wordmark. In addition, a secondary look has also been developed across corporate and event branding (European Athletics).

Premiership Rugby side Sale Sharks signed Bentley Manchester as the new naming partner for its premium level of hospitality at the AJ Bell Stadium. The Executive Club will now be known as the Bentley Executive Club (Sale Sharks).
