Football DataCo Announces Three-Year Deal With Perform Group

Football DataCo has "announced a new three-year deal with Perform Group," which will run until at least '18-19, according to Luke Massey of SBC NEWS. The business that manages and commercializes the official match data for the Premier League, English Football League and Scottish Professional Football League has confirmed that "it has renewed its exclusive deal with Perform." The three-year deal will see Perform’s Opta and RunningBall "continue to operate as the official media and betting data partners of the eight professional leagues and associated competitions covered by Football DataCo." Official accreditation at stadiums will allow Opta and RunningBall to "continue to collect real-time data, support data editorial and performance analytics, and facilitate innovation across broadcast graphics and production workflows, digital data visualisations, fantasy and gaming concepts" (SBC NEWS, 10/11).
