Bayern Munich Could Stage Game Against NBA Franchise At 75,000-Seat Allianz Arena

Former Bayern Munich President Uli Hoeneß "could imagine staging a game between Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) side Bayern Munich Basketball and an NBA franchise at the 75,000-seat Allianz Arena in the future," according to BILD. Hoeneß, who is expected to re-take his old position at the club during the elections in November, said, "Maybe we can at some point, when we have a really great team, stage a game at the Allianz Arena." Hoeneß, who spent time in prison for tax evasion, has plans for a game between his club and an NBA team in front of 60,000-70,000 spectators at the football stadium. He said, "Maybe against the Chicago Bulls or whoever. I could imagine that. But we have to improve a little bit first" (BILD, 10/11).
