Australian Open 2017 Ticket Prices Staying About The Same As '16

Tournament organizers announced that tennis fans "will pay about the same for 2017 Australian Open tickets as the did in 2016," according to the SYDNEY MORNING HERALD. With the grand slam just a few months away, ticket prices for next year's competition have been released, "with the cost for both the men's and women's finals staying the same" -- A$403 ($306) and A$199 ($151) respectively. For the first 10 days of competition, fans will have to pay A$1 ($0.76) more per ground pass than they did for the '16 tournament, while for the final four days, the price of a ground pass will drop by A$4 ($3). Starting prices for Rod Laver Arena tickets will remain the same -- A$77 ($58) for a category three ticket. And category three tickets for 11 sessions on Margaret Court Arena "will be cheaper" than in '16. The remaining three sessions "will cost the same" as in '16 (SMH, 10/9).
