Int'l sports media group Eleven Sports Network announced the appointment of SHALU WASU as managing director for Singapore. Wasu, who begins his role immediately and will report directly to Group Managing Dir DANNY MENKEN, will replace outgoing Asia Managing Dir JOYEE BISWAS. Eleven Taiwan GM SIMONE KANG will now report directly to Menken. Wasu recently stepped down as managing director at social data analytics company Circus Social, which he co-founded in '12 (Eleven). ... Int'l Volleyball Federation President ARY GRAÇA has "been given eight more years in office." Somerset County Cricket Club Dir MATT MAYNARD "signed a two-year contract extension to keep him at the county" until the end of the '19 season. COACHES/MANAGERS: Spanish coach JULIO VELÁZQUEZ reached an agreement with Portuguese side Belenenses to leave the club. He had coached Belenenses since the end of '15 (EFE, 10/6).
