Swiss Football League Agrees To New Four-Year, $163.2M Broadcast Rights Deal

The Swiss Football League "has agreed to new broadcast deals with its exsisting partner for the next four years," according to the NEUE ZÜRCHER ZEITUNG. The league was able to increase the value of the deals by almost 70% and will receive around 40M Swiss francs ($40.8M) per season. The biggest change: The Super League will adjust its kickoff times for the upcoming season. The changes are part of a new TV contract that the SFL signed with CT Cinetrade for four years. While the coverage of public broadcaster SFR will remain largely unchanged, pay-TV network Teleclub is increasing its coverage. Instead of showing Super League games individually, the channel will introduce a simulcast coverage of all games. Teleclub has also developed three new shows as shoulder programming to its live game broadcasts (NZZ, 10/6).
