Marketplace Roundup: Infront Sports & Media Extends Jack Wolfskin Partnership

Infront Sports & Media has extended its sponsorship agreement with outdoor apparel supplier Jack Wolfskin as sponsor of the Audi FIS Alpine Ski World Cup for four years. The extension carries the deal through the '19-20 season. As part of its rights package, Jack Wolfskin will benefit from an advertising presence at 43 races per season with different branding packages at the start and finish areas, along the course and on athletes' bibs. In addition, the company's logo will be included across all official communication and print materials as well as on the FIS website and in video spots on-site. Finally, a hospitality contingent is included along with further advertising and promotional rights (Infront). 

PRESIDENTS CUP PROVIDER: French casual wear brand Lacoste has "signed on as the official apparel provider of the Presidents Cup," starting with the '17 event in Jersey City, New Jersey. Lacoste will sponsor the biennial event through '25, and this "marks the first time in Presidents Cup history that one brand has provided apparel for both teams." With this partnership, Lacoste will outfit the U.S. and Int'l Teams and caddies, "as well as the PGA Tour and Presidents Cup staff, VIP guests, the Presidents Cup Committee, the Honorary Chairman, Match Committee, Organizing Committee, Am-Am participants and Honorary Observers" (MR MAG, 10/5).

MARKETPLACE BRIEFS ...
A-League side Melbourne Victory announced Optislim as its principal partner for the '16-17 season. Australian weight-loss brand Optislim will feature on the front of the club's home shirt this season. Optislim is a subsidiary of privately-held Australian company Optipharm (Melbourne Victory). 

Italian brand Colnago confirmed it will be the bike sponsor for the new TJ Sport Chinese cycling team that will take over Lampre-Merida in '17. TJ Sport will be the first Chinese WorldTour team. Colnago, based in Cambiago near Milan, has ties with team Manager Giuseppe Saronni "that go back 40 years and decided to return to the WorldTour" after sponsoring the Gazprom Rusvelo Professional Continental team in '16 (CYCLING NEWS, 10/5).

Euroleague Basketball announced Turkish packaged nuts and dried fruits brand Tadim as a new official global partner. Tadim will sponsor the Euroleague for the next three years. Tadim will promote its products in ad campaigns that feature Euroleague players and will receive visibility in strategic markets such as Germany and Turkey (Euroleague). 

Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) club Fraport Skyliners and Lotto Hessen have increased their partnership, with the state lottery company becoming the team's main shirt partner during the upcoming Basketball Champions League season. Lotto Hessen will also receive ad space on LED boards. The lottery has been a partner of the club since '07 (Lotto Hessen).

Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund has extended its deal with Coca-Cola for another four years until '20 (Borussia Dortmund).
